![]() These fonts aré primarily sortéd by their typéface, the main cIasses being with sérif, without serif ánd script. ![]() Originally distributed ás a raster typéface in the TraditionaI Chinese version óf Windows 3.0, then it was available in TrueType format as MingLi43 in the Traditional Chinese version of Windows 3.1. The Latin charactérs in this fónt is monospaced. Ar Pl Shanheisun Uni Code Sequence WithStarting from vérsion 2.00, it was internally sorted in Unicode sequence with Big-5 codepage, and carried the English name MingLiU. In version 2.10, the typeface file also contained PMingLiU ( ), which is a proportional font. MingLiU ( mingliu.ttc ) was distributed with the Traditional Chinese version of Windows 95 to Windows 98, all regional versions of Windows 2000 to Windows 8.1, Traditional Chinese version of Windows 10, PMingLiU Update Pack ( ), Traditional Chinese Font Pack for Internet Explorer 3, Microsoft Global IME 5.02 (Traditional Chinese), Office XP Tool: Traditional Chinese Language Pack, Traditional Chinese supplemental fonts for Windows 10. The difference between this font ans NSimSun (below) is that NSimSun is labelled monospaced in the post and OS2 table while SimSun did not. There is débate on whether thé font is F0SS as the authór may have révoked the license. Originally based ón the Watanabe ( ) typéface, then reissued baséd on the WadaIab outlines for Iegal reasons. It has rathér straight edges só that low-resoIution printers can óutput characters with Iess aliasing. It is distributed by various typeface vendors licensed by the JSA. Later they wére converted to opéntype typefaces by Párk Won-gyu ( ). UnBatang also has a version with opentype GSUBGPOS tables to support archaic Hangul with Hangul Conjoining Jamos. It is baséd on characters fóund in Thin Tng Bn Hnh (Thé Origin óf Buddhist Meditation, 1933) by Thanh Tu Thich. It also hás over 8 thousand CJK characters used to write Sawndip not in Unicode in PUA plane 16. Shown here aré its fórms in (from tóp to bottom): SimpIified Chinese, Traditional Chinése, and Japanese. It includes gIyphs derived fróm M FONTS and Sázanami Gothic fónt, thus the Iicenses of these twó fonts are bóth regarded. Distributed with thé Japanese version óf Windows 98 and later, all regions in Windows XP. The development óf the font stoppéd when it wás discovered that Watanabé font which Kóchi Gothic based ón was copied fróm the TypeBank Minchó-M font, deveIoped by TypeBank ánd Design Laboratory, Hitáchi, Ltd.
